Hercules Campus at Playa Vista has been home to visionaries and innovators throughout its history. From historic hangars to new high tech uses, this project demonstrates that historic buildings can successfully coexist with contemporary buildings and uses.
Join WCAPT and CPF for a unique presentation that explores the development and rehabilitation process from beginning to end. Discussions will include financing and market considerations, tenant needs, historic documentation, structural and technical challenges and an opportunity for up close observation and participation in the final stages of construction at the site. In the morning, hear from the developer, tenants, project architects, preservation architect, and the project engineer as they share some of the lessons learned on this project. In the afternoon, attendees will visit the site to hear from the contractors and restoration trade professionals and view demonstrations and examinations of the work underway.
To register, go to http://www.californiapreservation.org/workshops.html
